Romans 8:28 & 29 go hand in hand. When God works all things together for our good, He then tells us what our highest good is - to be conformed to the image of Christ. Not only that, God uses each trial we face to prepare us for promotion in His Kingdom!
God Can Turn It
In Luke 21:12-13, Jesus mentions how His followers will suffer trial and persecution but then He says, “it will turn out FOR YOU a testimony.” Could it be possible that we as Christians serve a God who can turn our messes into messages and our tests into testimonies?! It is not only possible, it is true! How many time shave we seen our Heavenly Father’s redemptive hands take something the enemy meant for evil and turned it to our good!
The Power of Humility & Our In-Christ Identity
When you find yourself in a difficult place, humbling yourself before the Lord so He can provide you wisdom and direction is such a key! Proverbs 11:2 says, “With humility comes wisdom.” In addition, we have the power and resource of our identity in Christ in trials! Many times God will allow us to walk through things so He can show us the ultimate power of Christ that is at work in us. How many people have ever thought, “I don’t think I can get through this…” and yet through the Lord’s Spirit they not only come through, they come through better and more mature! Listen and be blessed!
The Power of Godly Counsel
Healing rarely happens in isolation. That’s because we as humans need each other, just like we need the Lord. Many times it takes great love from people before people experience great healing from God. That is the power of Godly counsel among a community of believers. That is a power we all have even in our darkest hours.
The Power of Perspective/Focus
How we respond to adversity and suffering is so crucial to our quality of life. We must understand that the power of our perspective is even stronger than the power of other people’s choices who hurt us! Whatever has our attention has us. Whatever we focus on we become full of. How vastly important that we keep our eyes on the Author and Finisher of our faith in the midst of trials!
The Power of Choice
Many times we find ourselves in darkness and difficult times not by our own choice but by the choice of another person. Yet, no matter what they took from you, they can NEVER take your ability to choose life not death going forward. Listen and be set free!
We All Face Trials
In John 16:33 Jesus said, “In this world, you WILL HAVE trial and tribulation but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world for you.” Yes we all will face trials but how we respond and our attitude in the midst of dark times is crucial. Micah 7:8 says we have a promise that if we will be still, God will light our way!!
Conversations - Perfection
In the continuation of the “Conversations” series, Jeremy Griffin and Amriel Thompson discuss Ephesians chapter 4. Through the Holy Spirit, they emphasize corporate teamwork and how grace gifts are given to each one of us. Everyone within the body of Christ, as well as local expressions of Him in churches, have gifts that are to be used to edify and mature the whole body!
