As Jesus invites us to partner with Him in connecting others with His Life-giving Spirit, we are quickly reminded that HE is the joy in our journey. Christ is Christianity. He is our beginning and our end, He is our journey and our destination. May we invite all others to Christ for the sake of knowing Christ, for He is better than anything anyone would ever ask Him for!
Jesus' Call To Follow Him
Jesus never apologized to crowds of people upon telling them that life in Him and His Father’s Kingdom was worth giving everything for. He calls us into fellowship with Himself perhaps the greatest privilege of all!
Jesus Came To Make Disciples - Part 2
In a culture that over emphasizes Sunday morning church and sermons, and under emphasizes whether anyone is actually walking it out, Jesus call to come and follow him stands in stark contrast!
Jesus Came To Make Disciples - Part 1
Jesus modeled a consistent rhythm of invitation and challenge with His disciples. He showed us that no one accidentally disciples people and that discipling is an intentional pursuit as you invest in others.
Jesus Came Not to Judge But For Judgment
In John 9:39, after causing no small stir by healing a man born blind, Jesus announces that one of His assignments for coming was to reveal the condition of people’s hearts towards His light, life and truth. Who do you say that He is?
The New Covenant & The New Birth
In the parable of the Good Samaritan Jesus lays out a prophetic picture of His assignment to heal us from the inside out and commit us to the Holy Spirit’s care until He returns!!
A Better Covenant
The New Covenant Jesus established by shedding His blood is better than the Old Covenant because:
1. It’s based on His faithfulness, not ours.
2. There’s no new birth in the old, but there is in the new!
Jesus Came To Initiate the New Covenant!
In Luke 22:20 Jesus says, “This is the cup of the New Covenant in My blood, which I shed for you.” A tragedy of modern day Christianity is how few Christ followers actually relate to God by the New Covenant that Jesus came and so gloriously inaugurated! There are 5 terms outlined in Jeremiah 31:31-34 that are repeated in Hebrews 8:6-13. If you are, “In Christ,” you are in the new covenant!
