In Judges 6, Gideon builds an altar named, “The Lord is Peace” BEFORE his enemies had been defeated! So many times we wait until God’s deliverance before we enter rest and peace but the Lord desires to be our Peace in the midst of any storm! Shalom (peace) means a total sense of well-being no matter what is going on around you. Listen and be at rest in God!
Jehovah Rophe And Divine Health!
God is not just a God of divine healing but of divine health! Every principle Jesus taught and modeled is life giving and health producing in human beings. He didn’t just pay for you to be healed but also so you could walk in divine health. Listen and make the turnaround!!
Jehovah Rophe – The Lord Your Healer
In Exodus 15, God introduces Himself as Jehovah Rophe, the Lord our Healer! Knowing God as healer is one of the most important aspects of His character. As human beings, we face all kinds of battles regarding sickness – of the soul, of the mind, of the emotions, and of the body. It is interesting that the healing that takes place in Exodus 15 is in regard to bitterness! Listen and be healed!
Jehovah Tsaba – The Lord of Hosts (of Heaven)
In the battle of David and Goliath, David gives God a doorway into the natural realm to fight on Israel’s behalf! The God of the angel armies shows up and shows out through David as God reveals Himself as the One who fights are battles! David knew Goliath did not belong to the family of Almighty God nor was he in His covenant. He also knew Goliath was not mocking him but actually the God of Israel (Jehovah Tsaba) and that gave Him great confidence to step out on the battlefield!
Jehovah Tsidkenu – The Lord Your Righteousness
God’s Names throughout Scripture reveal to us His amazing desire that we know Him! He also wants us to understand that He is our Source for all things. In the case of Jehovah Tsidkenu out of Jeremiah 23:6, He makes known to His people that He is our Source for Righteousness! Think about it – there is no such thing as a self based righteousness only a Christ based righteousness. That means our inner stance with God does not fluctuate with our outer missteps!!
Immanuel: God Is With Us!
Of all the Names of God, Immanuel may be the most important because Jesus Christ encompasses all that God is! Colossians 2:9 says He is, “the fullness of God in bodily form.” In Christ you have the miracle of One who is, “Fully God but also fully man.” We read in one text Jesus is thirsty for water because He is fully man, but then we read He walks on water because He is fully God.” Listen and be blessed!
Jehovah (Yahweh) – God’s First Name
If Elohim is God as our Strong Creator, then Jehovah is God saying, “I want to introduce Myself to you.” Elohim is the side of God who created the Heaven’s and the Earth and beyond, but Jehovah is the side of God who relates personally to His creation and is our Source. It is beyond our comprehension that God can hold the universe in the expanse of His hand and yet He continually goes out of His way to make Himself known to us! Listen and be blessed!
“Elohim” – Mighty Creator
In the beginning, God didn’t just create the Heavens and the Earth, He created a “beginning!” Because God is Elohim (Mighty or Strong Creator), He actually stands outside of time, space, and matter and beholds His own creation. And yet a God who can hold the universe in the expanse of His hand, has since our beginning, sought to progressively reveal Himself to us! Listen and come to know intimately the God who pursues you!
