Be sure and join us this Sunday as we continue the series, “Freedom From Fear, Worry, and Anxiety”! We will be looking at two of the ways we can keep the stresses of life at bay:
1) Work out your own salvation not everyone else’s.
2) Take authority over negative emotions.
Philippians 4:6-8 (NKJ)
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, *will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. *8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, just, pure, lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things.
12 Therefore, my beloved… work out *your own *salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do His good pleasure.
…being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work *in you* will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ…
1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 (NIV)
11 Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, 12 so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so you will not be dependent on anybody.
